Automatic knives, also known as switchblades, open automatically with the press of a button or pull of a lever. Designed primarily for military, police and EMT duty, the speed of an automatic knife is ideal for emergency situations. Automatic knives are restricted in many areas, so be certain to consult your local laws before purchasing. Stylish D. Ralph design. The 18 Xray series features a black DLC coated 154-CM tanto blade with plain edge. The handle is black anodized 6160 aluminum and is contoured to provide a good fit in the hand. The pocket clip is reversible for tip or top down carry. The Xray's firing button features an integrated safety- it must be slid forward before it can be pressed down so it can't fire by accident (a very cool design). A very solid knife that would make a great user. This is not a white glove knife, it was made to be used!
