The rubbery Forprene handle the Sputnik models are to handle even when wet or cold very comfortable and safe, including the numerous depressions and grooves to play their part. The small built-in guard also carries an eyelet as the glass breaker in the grip end, whereby the Sputnik example can be tied also to a stick. The blade of N690Co is Cerakote-coated and optimally dimensioned with thickness from 5mm to combine cutting potential and stability. The highly functional symmetrical sheath is made of fiberglass and is located in a MOLLE compatible nylon holder with belt loop and detachable leg straps.
