The Taylors Company 1873 Lever Action is a diverse family of lever-action cartridge rifles. These faithful reproductions of the Winchester Model 1873 covers a wide range of calibers and barrel lengths. A high-quality walnut stock links all the models. Winchester initially thought the 1873 would see most of its sales from U.S. military contracts. However The Gun That Won the West proved more popular with civilians and foreign militaries and Taylors Companys 1873 Lever Action series proves the enduring popularity of a nearly 150-year-old design. Details The 1866 was already quite popular when the smaller yet quite similar 1873 model was released. It became an immediate favorite. The Winchester Repeating Arms Company may have thought that domestic military sales would make up most of the orders for the firearm but in fact civilian sales and international military purchases were what brought in profit that year. In that day the 1873 was the first lever action available with a broad variety of options. Today an array of options is still offered on fine reproduction models by Taylors Company. - Barrel Length 18 Inch Octagonal - Caliber .357Mag - Capacity 10 - Weight 7.7 lbs - Finish Blue Finish with Case Hardened Frame - GripStock Walnut Straight Stock - Sights Buckhorn Rear Sight Blade Front Sight - Overall Length 37 Inches
