The Patriot will be one of our customers new favorite go-to propellants for 223, 5.56mm, 308 Winchester, 7.62mm, 22-250, 6mm ARC, and 6.5 Grendel, among others. If you currently use a bunch of H335, this propellant is right about the same burn speed and density. But...the Patriot contains flash suppression additives, while H335 does not. This propellant is spherical, has a bulk density of 0.975, and flows well through volumetric loaders. As with any propellant and load combination, a minor change to any of the components of the test load CAN result in significant shift in ballistic performance. This shift can cause unintended high pressures, and result in injury or death.
