The mirror image of a live puddle duck tipping up to feed in shallow water, the Tip Up Mallard by Avian-X features a patent-pending internal weight system that moves slowly along a threaded shaft, allowing the duck to transition from floating to a realistic tip-up posture. Lifelike motion creates water disturbance that's visible from long distances, making it especially effective on calm, no-wind days. Drake mallard decoy emulates a feeding duck, convincing wary birds to commit Patent-pending design transitions decoy from a balanced floating duck to a tipped-up feeding duck Creates appealing motion and water movement that's easily spotted from great distances Choose from two modes: Position 1, in which the decoy maintains a continuous cycle that includes 5 seconds in the feeding position, followed by 5 seconds in the swimming position. Position 2, which delivers maximum motion on the water as the decoy maintains a continuous cycle that includes 5 seconds in the feeding position, followed by a partially upright posture, then another 5 seconds in the swimming position. Included 6-volt rechargeable battery delivers up to 12 hours of runtime Comes complete with a tip-up feeding mallard decoy, power module, 6-volt lithium-ion battery and charger
