General nymph hook. This is a standard length hook with a 1X gape. It has a down eye and is formed from a medium weight wire. The 609 is a standard length nymph hook. Use it to tie any standard nymph pattern. Can be used with a bead as the wider gape keeps from crowding the point. As with all Firehole Sticks, this hook is made from high strength carbon steel, which is properly hardened and tempered. The hook is chemically sharpened and finished with a black nickel coating.
