What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying: "I've skied these both inbounds and on touring days, and the downhill performance is identical to the regular Attack 14-which is to say, super solid. The uphill tech toe is smooth, and switching modes is surprisingly quick. It's heavier than some pure tech setups, but I'll happily trade that for reliability on the descent." The Tyrolia Attack Hybrid 14 GW MN/PT Binding brings true versatility to high-performance skiers who demand full alpine power on the descent without giving up tech touring efficiency on the way up. Whether we're skinning toward powder stashes or lapping early-morning bootpacks, this system offers uncompromising downhill capability with a removable tech toe that makes uphill travel a breeze. In ski mode, the FR PRO3 downhill toe and NX FR heel deliver the lateral power and elastic travel we expect from a true alpine binding-complete with GripWalk and multi-norm compatibility. For skinning, we swap in the tech toe with integrated crampon slots and a climbing aid, locking in uphill efficiency without complex mechanics. The sliding toe and heel pieces mount securely to a plate system with 24mm of BSL adjustment, and the brake-locking system makes transitions simple and fast-even with gloves on. Built with over 50% renewable plastics and a lighter carbon-reinforced construction, this binding offers durability with a thoughtful design for hybrid skiers who go hard in both zones.
