Back for another year, this iteration of the Scarpa Maestrale Alpine Touring Boot offers more uphill speed than ever before, yet it maintains the backcountry control it is known for. The uphill speed is created by the Pebax Rnew shell with carbon reinforcement in the lower boot and the 61deg range of motion provided by the burly walk mode lever. On the downhill, the 110 flex allows us to drive our skis with minimal energy loss, the Pro Flex Touring liner molds to our feet to lock our heels in place, and the 16deg of forward lean creates a traditional alpine stance that we can trust in spicy situations.
