What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying: "I've used the Free Explore R2C skins on several big days, and they're a solid choice for getting into touring. They're lightweight and pack down easily, but the best part is how grippy they feel on steeper skin tracks. If you want something that prioritizes secure footing and durability, these are a great option." When we're ready to leave the groomers behind and head deeper into the mountains, the Pomoca Free Explore R2C 123mm Climbing Skins give us the confidence to explore without compromise. Designed as the perfect gateway skin for backcountry touring, these skins combine a light, packable build with dependable grip on steep, variable ascents. The 100% nylon plush delivers long-lasting durability and an incomparable hold across firm snow and wind-scoured approaches. Even with all that traction, the skins glide efficiently to keep us moving smooth and steady mile after mile. Whether we're tackling a dawn patrol mission or our first hut trip, the Free Explore makes getting uphill feel intuitive and secure.
