What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"The Pearlock is my go-to for belays. Its hot-forged design keeps it lightweight, but the large rope-bearing surface ensures smooth handling. The twistlock mechanism is reliable and quick to engage-perfect for safe, seamless climbing."We trust the Black Diamond Pearlock Twistlock Carabiner when climbing demands versatility and reliability. Its updated hot-forged design balances weight savings with the durability to handle rugged conditions. Whether we're belaying with a Munter Hitch, anchoring with a brake carabiner, or using an ATC Guide, the Pearlock offers a smooth, consistent experience thanks to its large rope-bearing surface. The twistlock sleeve adds an extra layer of safety by locking on the gate rather than the nose, minimizing the risk of binding under load. Built to last and designed for dynamic belaying, this HMS connector keeps our climbing systems running like clockwork.
