Product Description
Rosco Husky AR Barrel Features The Rosco Manufacturing Husky Barrel brings a SOCOM style 10.3 inch profile to the AR platform giving builders a shorter barrel option without the thin profile issues that can plague ultra light barrels. While the Husky profile is only a few ounces heavier than Rosco s Bloodline 10.5 inch barrel that added mass helps the barrel shed heat faster and resist the barrel whip that can affect accuracy during rapid strings of fire. The barrel is button rifled a process Rosco uses across its lineup to deliver the accuracy its barrels are known for. A 1:7 twist rate stabilizes heavier 5.56 projectiles giving builders flexibility in ammunition choice for their intended use. Machined from chrome moly vanadium steel the barrel is phosphate coated on the exterior while the chamber and bore are chrome lined for added corrosion resistance and easier bore maintenance over the life of the barrel. That chrome lining is particularly valuable in a shorter barrel run hard and hot since it resists the throat erosion and fouling buildup that shortens barrel life. Threaded at 1/2x28 the muzzle accepts standard 5.56 muzzle devices without modification. At 23.7 ounces this Husky barrel gives builders a durable SOCOM length option for a compact 5.56 rifle or pistol build.
