Rosco Purebred Barrel Features The Rosco Manufacturing Purebred barrel is machined from stainless steel and chambered in .223 Wylde a chamber cut that combines the tight precision of a .223 Remington match chamber with the ability to safely run 5.56 NATO pressures. A 1:7 inch twist rate stabilizes a wide range of bullet weights giving shooters flexibility whether they are running lighter varmint loads or heavier match projectiles at distance. The 20 inch length is built specifically for extended range carbine shooting giving the round more barrel time to reach its full velocity potential before leaving the muzzle. This combination makes the barrel a strong option for shooters building a longer MK12 pattern rifle or looking to rebarrel an existing 20 inch gun for DCM and National Match style competition. A Nickel Boron finish coats the barrel s exterior and bore a treatment that reduces friction during the firing cycle while adding meaningful corrosion resistance compared to a bare steel finish. The barrel is threaded 1/2x28 at the muzzle a standard pattern that accepts most AR pattern muzzle devices and compensators without needing an adapter. At 43 ounces the barrel carries enough mass to help manage heat during extended strings of fire without becoming unreasonably front heavy on a completed build. Built for shooters chasing consistent repeatable accuracy at distance the Purebred barrel is a dependable foundation for a dedicated extended range carbine.
