Rosco K9 Barrel Features The Rosco Manufacturing K9 Barrel uses an intermediate length gas system with an optimized gas port tuned to run reliably whether the rifle is suppressed or left unsuppressed. This balance point is harder to achieve than it sounds since suppressors add back pressure that can turn an otherwise reliable gas system erratic and Rosco s port sizing accounts for that variance. The K9 s continuous taper profile is engineered to dissipate heat effectively during hard sustained use reducing the accuracy-robbing effects of a barrel heating up during a string of fire. By shifting weight rearward along the barrel the design leaves room up front for modern attachments like suppressors or muzzle devices while keeping the rifle s balance point comfortable to hold and shoot. Machined from stainless steel and finished in black nitride the barrel resists corrosion while offering a durable surface against the wear of repeated firing cycles. A 1:7 twist rate stabilizes a wide range of 5.56 NATO bullet weights from lighter varmint loads up to heavier match bullets favored for precision work. An updated target crown carried over from Rosco s well regarded Purebred series improves harmonics at the muzzle and contributes to tighter more consistent groups. Finished with a 1/2x28 thread pattern and including an intermediate length gas tube the K9 16 inch barrel is a complete ready to install upgrade for AR-15 builders for sale at GrabAGun.
