evo.com | Volkl Skis > Rock solid at the limit, and with edgehold and precision second to none, the Volkl Mantra 88 Skis top the sales charts in the carving category for evo (and probably a lot of other retailers as well). 2027 is the second year for this design, with only a color change to a deeper blue, and in our opinion that's just fine. The placement and design of the tailored Titanal and Carbon elements paired with the proven 3D Radius sidecut make this the best of a long line of 88mm skis dating to the Kendo. We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width. 3D Radius Sidecut Three radii in one ski shape deliver maximum versatility - long radii at the tip and tail for stability and smoothness, and a short radius in the mid-body allows the skier to switch from long arcs to short turns at will, at any speed. Full Sidewall Direct and strong power transmission with full length sidewalls. Tailored Carbon Tips In this innovative manufacturing process the new Tailored Carbon Tips are produced by embroidering the individual carbon fibers onto a carrier material. This allows them to be positioned exactly along the stress lines, opening up completely new possibilities, for performance at the front of the ski, which has a decisive influence on handling. Multlayer Woodcore The combination of beech and poplar results in an extremely durable wood core composed of hard wood in the binding area and lighter wood surrounding it. Freeride enthusiasts looking to drive wider skis without fear of pre-release have long looked to the Marker Griffon 13 ID Ski Bindings for their fantastic performance and reliability. They return with a re-worked Inter Pivot 3 heelpiece that significantly improves step in performance, thus eliminating the one qualm that some users had. Meanwhile, the redesigned Triple Pivot Elite 3 toe comes equipped with a new metal rail to scratch off ice and snow below your boot sole. And with Sole.ID technology to accommodate almost every boot sole norm, the Marker Griffon 13 ID Ski Bindings have you covered each and every time you click in. We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width. Inter Pivot 3 Heel The newest generation Inter Pivot heel offers improved step-in performance, with a magnesium heel bracket for power transmission and energy absorption. Triple Pivot Elite 3 Toe Toe construction with impressive retention when freeriding. The spring in the toe is inserted horizontally and with a sole plate inclined by 5deg it provides the highest energy absorption so as to reduce the risk of early release. The large supporting surface optimizes the power transmission and allows for great stresses and strains.
