evo.com | Volkl Skis > The big daddy of expert all-mountain skis, the Volkl M7 Mantra Skis tackle all manner of frontside terrain with Germanic power, precision and stability. The finely tuned combination of 4 Radius Drive sidecut, Tailored Titanal Frame, and Tailored Carbon Tip make this the best Mantra yet, and you'll feel a boost in confidence the moment you step into it. We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width. Full Sidewall Direct and strong power transmission with full length sidewalls. Multilayer Woodcore A combination of beech and poplar results in an extremely durable wood core composed of hard wood in the binding area and lighter wood surrounding it. Tailored Carbon Tips In this innovative manufacturing process the new Tailored Carbon Tips are produced by embroidering the individual carbon fibers onto a carrier material. This allows them to be positioned exactly along the stress lines, opening up completely new possibilities, for performance at the front of the ski, which has a decisive influence on handling. 4 Radius Drive A new sidecut with 4 distinct radii where they're most effective. ~20m in the shovel for quick turn initiation, ~40m between shovel and binding for stability at speed, ~15m under the bindings for agility and ~25m behind the bindings for a dynamic finish to your turns The Salomon Strive 14 GW Ski Bindings are an all-new lightweight resort ripper for responsive freeriding. The design of the LDN toepiece puts you close to the snow for maximum contact and response, enhancing power transmission for a smooth on-snow feel. The superlight design is reinforced with metal in key areas, and 45mm of elastic travel means they can handle rough riding without letting you down. The low profile Strive 14 bindings set a new standard in all-mountain performance. We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width. LDN Toe Low. Direct. Neutral. These are the deign characteristics of the revolutionary new LDN Toepiece. A lower center of gravity places the binding closer to the ski for better next-to-snow feel and the wide base delivers more direct response and reaction throughout the turn. The flatter, neutral stance puts the skier in a more balanced position by preserving the natural flex and arc of the ski. Locking Brakes The brakes feature a smartly designed clip-in system that locks the skis together as you throw them over your shoulder, making long hauls easy! Automatic Toe Adaptation The toe adapts automatically to your alpine normed boot height and ensures constant release values, even on worn out boots.
