Bushnell R7 Features The Bushnell R7 s 1-8x magnification range starts at true 1x for both-eyes-open close-quarters shooting and extends to 8x for more deliberate longer-range shots giving shooters one optic that covers a broad range of engagement distances. The second focal plane fiber-dot reticle holds a consistent size through the zoom range keeping the sight picture simple and fast at 1x while remaining usable for holdovers at higher magnification. Precise 1/4 MOA turret clicks let shooters dial exact windage and elevation corrections when the situation calls for more deliberate aim. This range of capability makes the R7 well suited to AR-platform rifles used for both home defense and hunting. A 30mm maintube gives the R7 added strength and consistent internal adjustment tracking compared to a 1-inch tube and the matte black finish resists glare while blending into most rifle setups. At 19.3 ounces the scope adds minimal weight to a carbine keeping the rifle balanced and quick to shoulder. The fiber optic element feeding the illuminated reticle draws ambient light to keep the aiming point visible without a battery-dependent illumination system. Shooters looking for a versatile low-power variable optic for defensive or hunting rifles will find the R7 a dependable field-ready choice.
