"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: ""These boots were made for big days on muddy, rugged trails. I’ve taken them from wet spring forest routes to dry high desert terrain and never worried once about traction or soaked socks. The GORE-TEX membrane actually breathes on the climbs.""When the terrain is unpredictable and the weather’s even worse, we pull on the Terrex Skychaser AX5 Mid GORE-TEX Hiking Boots and hit the trail anyway. These versatile boots balance technical performance with lightweight agility for a full day of exploration. These boots combine a breathable yet fully waterproof GORE-TEX membrane with a durable, abrasion-resistant ripstop upper for protection that doesn’t compromise comfort. Continental Rubber soles deliver excellent traction even in wet, loose terrain, while Lightmotion cushioning absorbs impact over long distances. The mid-height collar adds extra ankle stability without bulk, helping us stay confident no matter what’s underfoot."
