"The Smith & Wesson SW99 is a striker-fired pistol chambered in .40 S&W with a 4"" barrel. Based on the Walther P99 design, it combines reliable performance with an ergonomic polymer frame and comfortable grip. Serial number SAB8489 appears to be in very good overall condition, showing only light handling wear and retaining a clean finish throughout. Produced during the early 2000s, the SW99 was part of Smith & Wesson's collaboration with Walther to offer a modern defensive handgun. Chambered in .40 S&W, a cartridge developed in 1990 to bridge the gap between 9mm capacity and larger-caliber performance, the SW99 remains a capable choice for personal defense, range use, and collectors of early polymer-framed pistols."
