Redding Reloading UltraMag Reloading Press Features The Redding UltraMag Reloading Press stands apart from typical single-stage presses with its large frame opening and exceptionally long usable ram stroke both engineered specifically to accommodate oversized magnum cartridge cases that other presses struggle to handle. Its long-link compound leverage system is mounted at the top of the press frame rather than the bottom an approach that generates tons of pressure while minimizing the frame deflection and misalignment issues common in other large frame presses. This design gives reloaders the mechanical advantage needed to resize tough oversized brass without excessive effort at the handle. The cast-iron frame provides the rigidity and mass needed to keep the press stable and accurate through repeated heavy resizing operations. Reloaders working with long magnum cartridges often find that standard presses lack the frame clearance or leverage to handle full-length resizing comfortably which is exactly the gap the UltraMag is built to fill. Though it represents a larger investment than an entry level single-stage press its cast-iron construction and compound leverage system are built to last for a lifetime of heavy use. This press is a favorite among reloaders who regularly load the largest magnum rifle cartridges and need a dependable no-nonsense workhorse at the bench. For reloaders ready to commit to a serious long term tool the Redding UltraMag offers the capability and durability that oversized cartridge reloading demands.
