In crafting the Fortis Super Sport (SS) FIFTY a focus on the brand's innovation intent and quality is evident throughout the design process. Unlike many AR safety selectors that employ standard socket or torx screws the Fortis SS FIFTY boasts a patent-pending RidgeKey locking mechanism. This unique system enables the levers to securely latch onto the selector core establishing a strong point of contact and effectively eliminating any potential weak spots. The selector core features a black nitride coating ensuring a smoother surface and enhanced resistance to wear. With the Fortis SS FIFTY there is no concern about screws loosening breaking or snapping. The ambidextrous design incorporates 6061 T6 aluminum selector levers with a cutout feature that reveals the core. Constructed from 4140 steel the selector core is coated in black nitride with an optional TiN finish available. The levers are medium-length to provide optimal performance and the system supports both 50 and 90-degree options. The robust RidgeKey locking mechanism is designed without visible screws enhancing its sleek appearance and functionality.
