LWRCI IC-MKII, 5.56 NATO, 12.7 Barrel, 30+1, Patriot Brown Cerakote/Black, SBA3 Brace, Pistol The LWRCI IC-MKII pistol is the next generation of LWRC International's Individual Carbine, built around the company's proprietary short-stroke gas piston and set up here as a compact 5.56 NATO pistol with a 12.7-inch barrel and an SB Tactical SBA3 brace. It keeps the reliability and fully ambidextrous controls the IC line is known for, and adds a redesigned upper receiver and an M-LOK handguard. This exact variant wears a Patriot Brown Cerakote receiver with a black SBA3 brace and black polymer grip, and ships with one 30-round magazine and LWRCI Skirmish flip-up front and rear sights installed. LWRCI cold hammer forges it from chrome-moly-vanadium steel, rifling and chamber included, which produces a dense, uniform bore that holds up to long strings of fire. The signature spiral fluting cuts weight from the heavy profile and adds surface area to shed heat, and the black nitride treatment resists wear and corrosion. A 1:7 right-hand twist stabilizes the full range of common 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington bullet weights, from light varmint loads to heavier projectiles. The muzzle is threaded 1/2x28, the standard AR-15 pattern, so you can run a muzzle device or a direct-thread suppressor without an adapter. At 12.7 inches, the barrel gives a little more velocity and sight radius than a 10.5-inch pistol while staying short and easy to handle. Short-Stroke Gas Piston and Two-Position Gas Block Instead of venting gas into the receiver like a direct-impingement AR, the IC-MKII uses LWRCI's patented short-stroke gas piston. Gas drives a piston at the front of the system, keeping heat and fouling away from the bolt and chamber. The result is a pistol that runs cleaner, stays cooler and is easier to maintain, which matters most on a short barrel where gas pressures run high. The A5 two-position gas block now uses a paddle-style selector located inside the rail, so you can switch between suppressed and unsuppressed settings through the handguard. That makes the IC-MKII a strong host for a suppressor: set it to the suppressed position to tame extra back pressure, then flip it back when the can comes off. Monoforge Upper and M-LOK Handguard To fit an M-LOK handguard over the piston system, LWRCI completely redesigned the upper receiver. The Monoforge one-piece upper has an integrated rail base and is stronger than a standard-pattern upper. LWRCI forgings are coined, struck twice in the die, for precise dimensions and a clean surface finish. The M-LOK handguard gives you slots for lights, lasers, hand stops and grips, and the full-length top rail leaves plenty of room for an optic in front of the Skirmish sights. Fully Ambidextrous Controls The lower receiver carries fully ambidextrous controls: bolt catch, bolt release, magazine release and safety selector all work from either side, and the LWRCI ambidextrous charging handle completes the setup. Left-handed shooters get the same manual of arms as right-handed shooters, and anyone can run reloads and malfunction drills from either shoulder. Nickel-Boron Bolt Carrier, Brace and Sights The nickel-boron coated bolt carrier offers wear resistance, corrosion resistance and lasting lubricity, so it wipes clean easily after a range day. Out back, the SB Tactical SBA3 brace adjusts for length and gives you a stable third point of contact. LWRCI Skirmish flip-up sights come installed front and rear, so you can zero and shoot right away and keep them as backups once you mount an optic. Who It's For The IC-MKII Patriot Brown pistol suits shooters who want a compact, piston-driven 5.56 for home defense, truck or trunk carry, suppressed shooting and training classes. Yes. The barrel is threaded 1/2x28, and the two-position gas block has a dedicated suppressed setting you can select through the handguard. Is the IC-MKII good for left-handed shooters? Yes. The bolt catch and release, magazine release, safety selector and charging handle are all fully ambidextrous. Does it take standard AR-15 magazines? It feeds from AR-pattern 5.56 NATO magazines, and one 30-round magazine is included. Why choose a piston pistol over direct impingement? The short-stroke piston keeps hot gas and carbon out of the receiver, so the action runs cleaner and cooler, which is especially helpful on short barrels and when shooting suppressed.
