The scope is mounted so you can take advantage of optical precision while still benefiting from the rifle's rugged design. The Shadow's synthetic stock offers a modern appearance with lightweight handling and durability for repeated use.Who It Is ForAn air rifle like this is a practical way to build marksmanship skills at home or on a backyard range where local rules allow, to practice trigger control and follow-through at low cost per shot, and, depending on caliber and power, to take on pest control where legal.Key FeaturesShooting glasses to encourage safe shooting habits750 BBs for immediate high-volume plinking500 Pellets for controlled, accuracy-focused shootingMulti-pump pneumatic air rifleDual-fuel: shoots BBs and pelletsIncludes 4x15 airgun scopeSleek black synthetic stockComplete kit with glasses, 750-count bag of BBs, and 500-count bag of pelletsThe Daisy 880 Powerline Shadow Plus Kit includes a sleek black multi-pump pneumatic air rifle, 4x15 scope, shooting glasses, 750-count bag of BBs, and 500-count bag of pellets. This versatile air rifle shoots two different types of ammo-BBs and .177 pellets-for flexible backyard target practice. How the Powerplant WorksA multi-pump pneumatic is charged by working the forearm pump lever. More pumps raise velocity up to the manufacturer's maximum, so one airgun covers close-range plinking and harder-hitting shots. No CO2 or external air source is needed.About the CaliberThe .177 caliber (4.5 mm) is the most common airgun caliber. Its light, fast projectiles shoot flat, which makes it a favorite for target shooting, plinking and small pests at modest ranges.Specifications ExplainedDaisy rates velocity at 800 feet per second (fps). Published velocity is measured with the ammunition type the manufacturer lists; heavier pellets will shoot slower but often carry more energy. The barrel is listed as Rifled Steel. A rifled barrel spins the pellet for accuracy. For aiming, the manufacturer lists Blade and ramp front/Adjustable rear. Check the rail type before buying rings or a dot sight. The safety is listed as Crossbolt Trigger Block. Learn how it works from the owner's manual before loading.Daisy recommends this product for ages 16 Years and older with adult supervision.Getting Started and CareBefore the first session, read the owner's manual, check that the gun is unloaded, and set up a safe backstop or pellet trap. Shoot from a rest to confirm where the gun hits at your usual distance, then adjust the sights or scope.Try several brands and weights of quality .177 pellets of the type the manufacturer lists. Airguns often prefer one pellet over another, and finding it is the quickest way to tighter groups.Never pump beyond the maximum the manufacturer lists, store the gun with one pump in it if the manual says so to protect the seals, and add a drop of pellgunoil or the recommended oil to the pump pivot point now and then. What You Will Want With ItEye protection for the shooter and anyone nearbyA pellet or BB trap rated for the gun's power, or a safe backstopPaper targets or reactive targetsA case or sling for transportSafety and Local LawsTreat every airgun as if it were loaded, keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction, and keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot.
