Comstock Armory Hybrid Plan-B Flash Hider/Brake, 5/8x24, 9mm, Black Nitride The Comstock Armory HYB-58-9 is a full-size hybrid flash hider and muzzle brake for matching 5/8x24 barrel threads. It combines recoil reduction, flash reduction and a Plan-B-compatible suppressor interface in one 17-4 PH stainless steel component. Its 9mm-capable bore includes .350 Legend within the supported bullet-diameter range. A black nitride finish completes this 2.00-inch, 1.9-ounce configuration. For buyers comparing muzzle-device options, the HYB-58-9 is centered on a balance of functions rather than a single-purpose flash hider or a brake chosen solely for recoil reduction. Choose the hybrid with the correct 5/8x24 barrel connection. Purchase the Comstock Armory HYB-58-9 at BattleHawk Armory. Hybrid Geometry and Sacrificial-Baffle Function The HYB combines flash-hider and muzzle-brake features to address visible flash and recoil together. With a compatible suppressor attached, the device also acts as a sacrificial baffle to help limit blast-baffle wear. This gives the muzzle device a useful role in both suppressed and unsuppressed configurations without promising a fixed percentage of recoil reduction or a maintenance-free suppressor. Full-Size Dimensions Without Required Timing The HYB-58-9 adds approximately 1.36 inches beyond the muzzle, which is distinct from its 2.00-inch overall device length. That distinction matters when comparing the length of muzzle accessories. Its rotationally symmetric layout does not require a specific clock position, and the steel construction retains a straightforward black exterior that coordinates with similarly finished firearm components. Adapter Compatibility and Application Checks The suppressor-mount interface is compatible with appropriate .900-24 Comstock LPA, Q Plan-B and Rearden Atlas adapters. Confirm the complete setup's barrel threads, cartridge rating, internal clearance and alignment before use; interface compatibility is not universal suppressor compatibility. Some suppressor warranties exclude aftermarket mounts. This item is the muzzle device rather than the suppressor or its separate adapter. Frequently Asked Questions What barrel thread pattern does the HYB-58-9 use? This model has 5/8x24 barrel threads. The .900-24 specification refers to its compatible suppressor-mount interface, not the barrel connection. Is .350 Legend within the device's bore capability? Yes. The muzzle device accommodates bullets up to 9mm, including .350 Legend. The firearm and any suppressor must still meet their own fitment and cartridge requirements. What is required for a 14.5-inch pin-and-weld application? The Comstock 5/8 spacer ring is required for that application. A qualified gunsmith should verify the complete configuration and final dimensions before permanent installation.
