Norco Optic C3 Bike 2025Optic Nerve The Norco Optic C3 is a short-travel trail bike that rewards you on light single-track and supports you on rowdy descends. The carbon frame uses Norco's VPS HP high-pivot suspension, which moves the rear axle backward to soak up square-edged hits while keeping the bike lively. It pairs 125mm of rear travel with a plush 140mm fork and 29" wheels front and rear. The i-track chainstay-mounted idler controls chain growth and pedal kickback, and anti-squat is tuned so the bike stays efficient when you're on the pedals. A 65deg head angle keeps it steady on descents, and seat tube angles of 76. 5deg to 77. 5deg, depending on size, put you in a strong position for climbing. With Norco's Missing Link Kit, sold separately, you can switch to a 27. 5" rear wheel and keep the same geometry and suspension feel. Crisp shifting comes from Shimano Deore with an XT M8100 rear derailleur, a 30T chainring and a 10-51T cassette for steep climbs. An idler guide and lower guide keep the chain in place when the trail gets rough. Powerful Shimano Deore MT520 4-piston brakes with metallic pads grab 180mm rotors front and rear for strong, consistent stopping. Durable WTB ST i30 rims on reliable Shimano hubs are wrapped in a Maxxis Minion DHF up front and a Maxxis Dissector in back, and the bike ships with Stan's tubeless valves and sealant. A Tranz X dropper with up to 230mm of drop, depending on size, gets the saddle out of your way, and a One Up EDC Lite tool is included for trailside fixes. Topping it off, a Rock Shox Pike Select fork and a Rock Shox Super Deluxe Select+ shock give you dependable, tunable suspension at both ends.
