"The Dakine X Independent Mission Street DLX 32L Backpack pairs Dakine's travel-pack construction with Independent's eye for what actually survives a skate trip. The partnership shows up in the skate-carry straps, rubberized where a board's grip tape would otherwise chew through webbing, plus a deployable tail pocket that tucks the board flush against the pack. A clamshell opening turns the whole bag into a compact carry-on, so packing for a flight looks less like cramming a duffel and more like organizing a small suitcase. What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I've run boards through airport security straps for years and always end up replacing them once the grip tape wears through the webbing. The rubberized coating on these straps is the first setup I haven't had to swap out after a season of travel."""
