Engineered for serious big-game hunters, the Hornady 338 Cal .338 225 Gr SP-RP InterLock Bullets deliver reliable expansion and deep penetration on tough targets. These 225-grain semi-jacketed soft point projectiles combine classic design with Hornady's proven InterLock technology to help ensure controlled expansion and maximum weight retention for ethical, effective terminal performance. Key Features InterLock Ring - A raised ring inside the jacket mechanically locks the core and jacket together during expansion to retain mass and energy for deep penetration and large, consistent wound channels. Inner Grooves - Strategically weaken the upper jacket section for consistent, controlled expansion even at extended ranges. Tapered Jacket - Precisely controlled jacket thickness promotes reliable expansion across a wide velocity range. One-Piece Core - Eliminates separation common with divided cores, supporting hard-hitting performance on game. Cannelure - Provides secure crimping and works with the InterLock ring to maintain bullet integrity.
