Radical Firearms SHR Features The Radical Firearms SHR uses a direct impingement operating system matched to a 1:7 inch twist rate giving it a broad window of compatible 5.56 NATO bullet weights for both practice ammunition and heavier defensive loads. The 16 inch barrel is built from chrome moly vanadium steel with a black Melonite finish a combination chosen for its resistance to wear and corrosion under sustained use. A Picatinny rail on the Gray aluminum receiver provides a stable repeatable mounting surface for an optic while a mil-spec trigger and a selector switch safety keep the manual of arms familiar to anyone who has run an AR platform rifle. The A2 flash hider at the muzzle reduces visible signature while the 1/2x28 threading keeps the barrel ready for a suppressor or additional muzzle device. Radical s 15 inch M-LOK free float handguard separates the barrel from the handguard for improved accuracy while keeping the user s hand cool during extended strings of fire. The 6 position B5 Bravo stock in black synthetic adjusts quickly for different shooters and different body armor setups and the B5 Type 23 grip gives a comfortable textured purchase whether the rifle is shouldered prone or fired upright. At 6.5 lbs and an overall length of 33 inches the rifle balances well for both close range maneuvering and longer range precision.
