Luth-AR Magazine Catch Assembly Features The Luth-AR Magazine Catch Assembly provides high-quality replacement parts for the magazine retention system on AR-15 pattern rifles ensuring the magazine locks in place securely and releases cleanly when needed. A reliable magazine catch is a critical safety and function component since a worn or damaged catch can lead to a magazine dropping unexpectedly or failing to seat properly during a reload. The manganese phosphate finish applied to the assembly provides corrosion resistance and a degree of lubricity that helps the parts cycle smoothly over repeated use. Replacing a worn catch assembly with this kit restores the rifle s reliability without the need for a full parts replacement elsewhere in the lower receiver. At just 0.40 oz the assembly adds no meaningful weight to the rifle while delivering the full functional benefit of a factory-correct magazine catch. Because it is purpose-built for the AR-15 platform installation follows standard armorer procedures familiar to anyone who has serviced an AR-pattern lower receiver. Keeping spare parts kits like this on hand is good practice for any AR-15 owner who wants to avoid downtime from a broken or worn component. The Luth-AR Magazine Catch Assembly is a straightforward dependable way to keep an AR-15 lower functioning exactly as intended.
