DPMS AR-15 Complete Upper Features The DPMS Panther Arms Complete Upper is built around a 16 inch 5.56 NATO barrel constructed from chrome moly vanadium steel a material chosen for its combination of strength and heat resistance under sustained firing. A 1-in-7 twist rate stabilizes a wide range of 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington bullet weights giving shooters flexibility in ammunition selection. The forged 7075-T6 aluminum A3 flat-top upper receiver is hard anodized black for durability and corrosion resistance and it is machined in the USA to ensure consistent fitment with mil-spec lowers. M4 feedramps are integrated into the barrel extension and receiver for reliable feeding across a variety of magazine types. A 13.5 inch M-LOK free-float handguard surrounds the barrel giving shooters a lightweight forend with direct-attach mounting points for lights lasers bipods and other accessories. Mil-spec internals include a shot-peened Carpenter 158 bolt and an 8620 steel bolt carrier with a staked gas key components chosen for their proven reliability in AR-platform rifles. A charging handle is included with the upper so builders have everything needed to mate this assembly to a compatible lower receiver. This combination of quality materials and broad accessory compatibility makes the DPMS upper a reliable easy-to-stock option for performance-minded shooters building a dedicated 5.56 NATO rifle.
