Civivi Knives Merit Features The Civivi Knives Merit is built on a 3.28 drop point blade made from 14C28N steel a stainless alloy known for its toughness and ease of sharpening in an everyday carry knife. The blade s flat grind and black stonewashed finish combine function with a rugged understated look that resists showing scratches from daily use. A flipper opening mechanism allows for fast one-handed deployment while the liner lock holds the blade firmly open during use and resists unintentional closure. At a blade hardness of 57 to 59 on the Rockwell scale the Merit holds a working edge well without becoming brittle. The handle is finished in black textured G10 a fiberglass laminate material that remains stable and grippy regardless of weather or moisture exposure. This texture gives the Merit secure purchase in hand even during strenuous outdoor tasks or when hands are wet or gloved. A pocket clip is included for quick access and discreet carry and at just 2.91 ounces and a 4.34 inch closed length the knife disappears easily into a pocket. Ambidextrous in design the Merit suits both left and right handed users looking for a reliable no-nonsense folding knife for daily tasks.
