CAT CAT 762 Features The CAT CAT 762 is built around Surge Bypass Technology a design approach that manages propellant gas flow through the suppressor body to cut breach fume and reduce the sound signature a shooter experiences at the ear. Rated for rifle cartridges up to 7.62mm it is specifically optimized for low rates of fire the exact demand profile of a precision or overwatch position rather than a high volume carbine. The can is tuned around a 16 AK-47 platform giving operators running that host a suppressor matched to its gas system and barrel length rather than a generic universal fit. Minimal blast propagation and reduced sound signature combine to make sustained low-rate engagements more comfortable and less detectable to everyone downrange of the shooter. Construction is Ti-64I-4V titanium finished in DLC a coating pairing chosen for its combination of hardness and corrosion resistance under repeated thermal cycling. At 7.2 long 1.6 in diameter and only 10.6 oz the CAT 762 adds minimal length and weight forward of the receiver preserving the handling characteristics of the host rifle. It mounts to the included 5/8x24 Spooky1/A2 QD muzzle device which accepts 1x16LH threaded suppressors for quick tool-free attachment in the field. Designed with input from current and former Special Mission Unit personnel and built for the rigorous demands of high-risk tactical operations this suppressor is for law enforcement and government units that need durable mission-ready sound suppression.
