WoodHaven Custom Calls The Equalizer Features The Woodhaven Equalizer is built around a layered reed design pairing a .004 yellow top reed over two reeds of prophylactic material with an added .003 latex layer underneath. This combination is engineered to give hunters access to both loud raspy calling and much softer quieter tree yelps from the same call. Designed by well known turkey call maker Billy Yargus the Equalizer reflects careful reed tuning aimed at maximum versatility in a single mouth call. This range allows hunters to adjust their calling on the fly as a bird s response dictates throughout a hunt. Beyond standard yelps the Equalizer is capable of producing raspy cutts cackles and assembly yelps giving hunters the vocabulary needed to work a tom through every stage of the call sequence. Its hands-free design keeps both hands free for the shotgun or bow an important advantage when a tom closes the final distance. Finished in a gray and yellow color scheme the call is easy to identify and handle even in low light conditions at first light. For turkey hunters who want one call that can cover a full range of vocalizations the Equalizer delivers exactly that versatility.
