Viridian C5L Features The Viridian C5L puts 550 lumens of white light output right where a shooter needs it mounted low on the dust cover of a Kimber CDS9 or Kimber 1911 pattern pistol. That output is enough to identify a threat and wash out a room in a fraction of a second which matters most in the exact low light conditions where a self defense encounter is likely to occur. A rated range of 25 yards in daylight and up to 1 mile of visibility at night means the beam stays useful whether the need is close quarters identification or spotting movement across a dark yard. The rail mount attachment keeps the light locked solidly to the dust cover rail without shifting under recoil so point of aim stays consistent shot after shot. Constructed from black aluminum the C5L is built to hold up to the recoil impulse and daily carry wear that a defensive handgun light is expected to survive. The compact footprint is sized specifically to the Kimber CDS9 and Kimber 1911 platforms so it adds illumination without changing the holster fit or the overall balance of the pistol. A battery life of roughly 1.5 hours of runtime keeps the unit ready for repeated activations during training or an actual defensive use. For a concealed carrier or a home defender who wants a dedicated purpose fit light rather than a universal clamp on unit the Viridian C5L is a straightforward upgrade for sale at GrabAGun.
