Underwood Ammo Handgun Ammunition Features The Underwood Ammo XTP load in .45 Colt is built around the Hornady eXtreme Terminal Performance bullet a design proven for deep penetration and controlled reliable expansion on impact. Combined with Underwood s own propellant and flash suppressed formulation the round stays effective in low light without washing out the shooter s night vision. At 960 fps the 250 grain projectile generates 512 ft lbs of muzzle energy enough for genuine medium to large game hunting performance as well as serious self-defense capability. A subsonic rating keeps the report quieter than many comparable factory loads a benefit when the round is used through a suppressor rated for this cartridge. Nickel plated brass casings resist tarnishing from moisture leather and other metals during long term storage a real advantage for ammunition kept on hand for defense or field use. That plating also improves feeding reliability across different action types and makes reloading cleanup noticeably easier than standard brass. Each box holds 20 rounds giving shooters enough on hand for practice sessions or a hunting trip without constant restocking. For .45 Colt revolver owners who want a hard hitting suppressor safe hunting and defense round Underwood XTP is available for sale at GrabAGun.
