Thompson Center Bore Butter Features The Thompson Center Arms Bore Butter seasons the bore of a muzzleloader a step that reduces fouling buildup and helps maintain consistent accuracy shot after shot. Because the formula is all natural and contains no petroleum based oils it reacts differently when exposed to the combustion of black powder or Pyrodex producing noticeably less of the tar like residue that plagues standard lubricants. That cleaner reaction translates into easier follow up loading in the field and a faster cleanup routine back at home. The lubricant is also effective for patching and lubricating round balls or conical bullets before loading giving one product multiple jobs around the bench. Beyond its role inside the barrel Bore Butter doubles as an excellent rust preventative when applied to external metal surfaces of any firearm not just muzzleloaders. Its biodegradable odor free formula makes it a pleasant product to use compared to harsher chemical solvents and the 5 oz squeeze tube dispenses cleanly without mess. This combination of bore seasoning patch lubrication and rust prevention makes Bore Butter a genuinely multi purpose product for the traditional shooter s kit. For muzzleloader owners who want a trusted natural product for loading and protection Thompson Center Bore Butter is available for sale at GrabAGun.
