Tapco Safety Selector Features The Tapco Safety Selector is machined from 8620 steel a material chosen for its strength and resistance to wear under repeated manipulation. The ambidextrous design places a lever on both sides of the receiver letting shooters engage and disengage the safety with either hand regardless of which shoulder they shoulder the rifle from. This matters for training environments duty use and competitive shooting where speed and reliability under stress both count. A black anodized coating finishes the selector giving it a corrosion resistant surface that matches most AR builds. Designed as a drop in replacement for standard AR platform safety selectors the Tapco unit installs using the same pin and detent setup found on mil spec lowers keeping the swap straightforward for anyone familiar with basic AR maintenance. Ambidextrous selectors like this one are especially valued by left handed shooters who otherwise have to break their grip to manipulate a standard right side only safety. Tapco builds its parts for reliability across a wide range of AR platform rifles and this selector is consistent with that approach. Shooters looking to improve ergonomics and manipulation speed on their AR will find this a simple effective upgrade.
