S.O.G Ultra XR Features The S.O.G Ultra XR pairs a forged carbon fiber handle with a Cryo CTS XHP blade finished in a black satin titanium nitride coating giving the knife a stealthy blacked-out appearance that stands apart from standard satin-finished folders. The Cryo CTS XHP steel is cryogenically treated during production a process that improves edge retention and toughness compared to standard tool steels. At 2.80 inches the plain edge drop point blade is sized for everyday tasks like opening packages cutting cordage or general utility work without becoming an oversized carry piece. The XR Lock mechanism provides a secure reliable lockup during use while still allowing smooth confident closing when the task is finished. Smooth ambidextrous single-handed opening through a thumb slot design means the knife can be deployed quickly with either hand a valuable feature for users who may need to access the knife under stress or with their off hand occupied. The carbon fiber handle keeps the overall weight down to just 1.20 ounces making it barely noticeable in a pocket despite its sturdy construction. A smaller titanium pocket clip comes standard but can be swapped for a full-sized money clip giving the Ultra XR flexibility in how it is carried day to day. At a closed length of 3.60 inches this knife is a discreet low-key option for anyone who wants premium materials in a minimalist everyday carry package.
