Shark Coast Tactical Mongoose Features The Shark Coast Tactical Mongoose is built around a direct impingement operating system with a chrome moly vanadium 16 inch barrel finished in durable black nitride for corrosion resistance and long service life. The 1:7 twist rate stabilizes a wide range of 5.56 NATO bullet weights giving shooters versatility in ammunition choice. A threaded muzzle with a 1/2x28 thread pattern accepts muzzle devices while the aluminum receiver carries the eye catching Mongoose Gun Candy Cerakote finish that gives this rifle its signature look. This Cerakote treatment spans both receivers and the handguard creating a cohesive dynamic color shifting effect that stands out from typical black rifles. Black Magpul furniture rounds out the build including a Magpul SL-K adjustable stock with adjustable length of pull and a black polymer pistol grip for a comfortable ergonomic hold. The free floating M-LOK handguard allows shooters to mount lights grips or bipods exactly where needed while the full length Picatinny top rail supports a red dot or magnified optic. A safety selector lever and standard AR-15 style controls keep the manual of arms familiar for anyone coming from other AR platforms. Weighing 6.6 pounds and shipping with a 30 round magazine the Mongoose combines head turning style with the reliable semi automatic performance that has made the AR-15 platform an enduring favorite.
