Pietta 1873 Features The Pietta 1873 uses a single action only trigger system faithful to the original 1873 pattern revolver requiring the hammer to be manually cocked before every shot. Chambered in 9mm Luger it gives shooters the classic single action shooting experience with a widely available economical cartridge rather than a harder to find blackpowder era round. The 3.5 inch blued steel barrel is matched to a blued steel cylinder holding 6 rounds keeping the sight picture and profile consistent with historic Colt style revolvers. Blade front and notched rear sights offer a simple fast sight picture suited to fast paced stage shooting. The color case hardened steel frame gives the revolver its distinctive mottled blue and straw finish a traditional treatment prized by Cowboy Action shooters and collectors for its period correct look. Paired against the blued barrel and cylinder the frame s case coloring creates the two tone appearance that defines classic single action revolvers. A walnut grip rounds out the traditional presentation offering a comfortable secure hold that suits both range use and competition. The Pietta 1873 in 9mm Luger with its color case hardened frame is available for sale at GrabAGun for shooters building an authentic single action lineup.
