Magnum Research Desert Eagle L5 Features The Magnum Research Desert Eagle L5 pairs an alloy frame with a 5 inch barrel delivering the recognizable Desert Eagle look and feel in a lighter more compact package than the full size original. Chambered in .357 Magnum the pistol is also capable of safely firing .38 Special ammunition giving the shooter flexibility between a milder training round and the full power magnum load. An integral muzzle brake is built directly into the barrel assembly helping tame muzzle rise and keep the sights on target between shots. The black frame is finished in a durable Cerakote while the slide carries a contrasting burnt bronze Cerakote for a distinctive two tone appearance. An ambidextrous safety gives both right and left handed shooters confident repeatable manual control over the pistol a detail that matters on a single action design. Adjustable sights let the shooter dial in a precise point of impact for their preferred ammunition whether that is a lighter .38 Special practice load or full power .357 Magnum. A 9+1 capacity single stack magazine feeds the pistol and black rubber grips provide a secure purchase under recoil. At 49.6 ounces the Magnum Research Desert Eagle L5 offers the commanding presence of the Desert Eagle lineup in a pistol built for shooters who want a bit less heft without giving up performance.
