Grizzly Rifle Ammunition Features The Grizzly Ammo Rifle Ammunition launches a 500 grain Triple Shock X bullet at 2150 fps delivering 5131 ft lbs of muzzle energy from a brass cased .470 Nitro Express round. The Triple Shock X design uses deep skiving to promote controlled expansion while retaining the majority of its weight which drives consistent penetration through heavy muscle and bone. That combination of velocity energy and bullet construction is exactly what dangerous game hunting demands when a follow-up shot may not come fast enough. The brass casing supports reliable extraction and feeding in both double rifles and bolt-action express rifles chambered for this cartridge. Each 5-round box reflects the way this cartridge is actually carried and used in the field where a handful of rounds rides in a cartridge belt or rifle case rather than a bulk supply. Grizzly Ammo loads this .470 Nitro Express round with the big game application squarely in mind pairing bullet weight and construction suited to buffalo elephant and other heavy dangerous game. The 500 grain bullet weight carries enough momentum to drive through thick hide and dense bone structure at classic express rifle ranges. This loading rounds out a serious option for hunters heading into dangerous game country.
