Freedom Ordnance FX9P Features The Freedom Ordnance FX9P runs on a straightforward blowback operating system chambered in 9mm Luger feeding from magazines that hold 31 rounds plus one in the chamber for extended capacity between reloads. Its 8 inch barrel is finished in black nitride over steel a treatment that adds corrosion resistance and surface hardness so the barrel holds up to repeated firing. A faux suppressor covers the muzzle giving the pistol a longer sight radius and a distinctive profile without altering its true 8 inch barrel length. The 1/2x28 thread pattern underneath means the owner can swap in a different muzzle device if they later choose keeping the platform adaptable to different needs. The OD Green anodized aluminum receiver is topped with a Picatinny rail giving the shooter a ready mounting surface for a red dot or other optic right out of the box. An M-LOK handguard wraps the barrel and accepts lights foregrips or other accessories without needing adapter rails while the AR15 style grip gives a familiar ergonomic hold for anyone used to that platform. The pistol ships from the factory with a black polymer SB Mini brace already installed saving the step of sourcing and fitting one separately. A selector style safety switch rounds out the control layout and at 5.19 pounds the FX9P strikes a balance between a substantial stable shooting platform and a pistol light enough to carry comfortably for a day at the range.
