Faxon Firearms RemAge Barrel Features The Faxon Firearms RemAge Barrel is purpose built for the 8.6 Blackout cartridge employing a fast 1 in 3 twist rate that channels rotational energy into the bullet to maximize stability and energy on target. This twist rate is dramatically faster than typical rifle twists because 8.6 BLK s heavier longer projectiles need the extra spin to fly true and Faxon tuned this barrel specifically around that requirement. Constructed from 416R stainless steel the barrel is machined from raw bar stock and button rifled for consistent repeatable accuracy from round to round. Every barrel is stress relieved air gauge tested and magnetic particle inspected before an 11 degree target crown is cut to protect accuracy at the muzzle. The Modified Light Palma profile balances rigidity with manageable weight giving the rifle a comfortable feel without sacrificing the stiffness precision shooting demands. A QPQ black nitride finish is applied both inside and outside the barrel improving corrosion resistance and making cleaning easier after firing corrosive or high-round-count sessions. The barrel ships with a thread protector taper adapter and Faxon s RemAge style barrel nut which uses a standard AR armorer s wrench profile for simple installation. Compatible with factory Remington 700 and current Faxon FX7 bolt action receivers this barrel gives precision rifle builders a turnkey path into the 8.6 Blackout platform.
