Faxon Firearms Sentry-X Features The Faxon Firearms Sentry-X is built around a 16 steel barrel finished in black nitride chambered in .223 Rem / 5.56 NATO for versatile ammunition compatibility. The Gunner profile barrel is capped with a Faxon MUZZLOK muzzle device that adds both weight forward balance and recoil control helping settle the muzzle for faster follow-up shots. A gas operated semi-auto action cycles reliably backed by an enhanced forged X-Tra Lite receiver set with a tensioning screw for a tighter more consistent upper-to-lower fit that reduces the rattle common to mil-spec builds. The black anodized aluminum receiver carries a full Picatinny rail giving the shooter a stable mounting surface for optics and other rail-mounted accessories. For shooters who need a rifle that holds zero and cycles consistently through hard use the Faxon Firearms Sentry-X s enhanced receiver set delivers that reliability shot after shot. An M-LOK handguard runs the length of the forend offering ample real estate for lights grips and other accessories without the added weight of a quad rail. The Faxon trigger built by Rise Armament delivers a crisper more consistent break than a standard mil-spec trigger giving the shooter better control over shot placement under pressure. A black B5 Bravo stock and B5 P Type 23 grip finish out the furniture with improved ergonomics over factory options adjusting for a more natural cheek weld and a more secure purchase on the grip. An ambidextrous charging handle and safety selector keep the rifle comfortable for right and left handed shooters alike so the manual of arms stays the same no matter which hand runs the controls. For shooters seeking a purpose-built training or defensive AR-15 with a thoughtfully upgraded set of components the Sentry-X delivers that performance straight out of the box.
