EGW Guns Fixed Rear Sight Mount Features The EGW Fixed Rear Sight Mount fits directly into the rear sight dovetail of the Kimber 1911 giving shooters a way to mount a Trijicon RMR or Holosun HS507C red dot without milling the slide. Machined from 7075 aluminum and finished in a matte black hardcoat the mount matches typical factory finishes while standing up to daily carry and holster wear. Because the mount simply replaces the factory rear sight the original sight can be reinstalled at any time keeping the pistol fully reversible to its stock configuration. At 1.780 inches long and 1.1 inches wide the mount keeps a slim low-profile footprint on the slide. Installation only requires removing the rear sight and installing the mount in the dovetail tightening the set screw where applicable and torquing the provided screws to 15 in/lbs with blue Loctite. Two flat head cap screws are provided specifically for the Trijicon RMR requiring only a 5/64 inch allen wrench for installation. EGW notes this mount is designed for Kimber 1911 pistols and will not fit Rock Island 1911s so shooters should confirm compatibility before ordering.
