Crickett My First Rifle CPR Features The Crickett My First Rifle CPR is built around a 16.13 inch carbon fiber threaded barrel giving young shooters a lightweight modern platform to learn fundamentals in .22 LR. The carbon fiber construction keeps overall weight down compared to a traditional steel barrel which matters on a rifle sized for a smaller shooter who needs to mount and hold it unassisted. The break open single shot action keeps operation simple and deliberate reinforcing safe handling habits with every shot since the rifle must be manually opened loaded and closed each time. A Picatinny rail on the receiver allows a red dot or scope to be mounted easily helping new shooters build confidence with an optic suited to their eyesight and experience level while the threaded barrel also opens the door to adding a suppressor for a quieter more comfortable introduction to shooting. The carbon fiber thumbhole stock is finished in Tan with Black Webbing giving the rifle a distinctive modern look that appeals to young shooters while the thumbhole design itself encourages a consistent repeatable grip. An adjustable bipod forend provides a stable shooting platform letting new shooters focus on trigger control and sight picture rather than holding the rifle steady unsupported which shortens the learning curve during early range sessions. At an 11.25 inch length of pull and a 31 inch overall length the rifle is sized appropriately for smaller shooters so the stock reaches the shoulder correctly and the trigger falls naturally under a young shooter s finger without reaching or straining. Combining a modern threaded barrel an optics ready receiver and a stable adjustable forend the Crickett My First Rifle CPR is built to make a young shooter s first rifle experience safe comfortable and genuinely enjoyable from the first supervised range trip onward.
