Brownells Cotton Chamber Mop Features The Brownells Cotton Chamber Mop uses a unique two-section design to clean and lubricate both the chamber and the locking lug recesses of an AR-308 with a single tool. The long narrow portion is built from individually tied cotton strands that reach into the chamber and work through carbon and fouling in a way a single brush cannot match. The shorter larger diameter section is sized specifically for the locking lug recesses an area that often gets missed during a standard cleaning pass. Measuring approximately 3 inches long with 8-32 male cleaning rod threads it installs on any standard cleaning rod already in a shooter s kit. Made from cotton material this mop is gentle on chamber surfaces while still lifting embedded fouling and distributing lubricant evenly. It ships in a 12 pack giving owners gunsmiths and armorers plenty of mops on hand for repeated cleanings or for servicing multiple rifles. The fit is designed around the AR-308 and works as a universal solution across that platform s chambers. For any .308 Win AR-308 owner who wants a dedicated purpose-built chamber tool rather than improvising with a standard bore mop this is a simple affordable addition to the cleaning bench.
