Brownells Chamber Mop Features The Brownells Chamber Mop uses a unique two-section design to clean two different areas of an AR-308 pattern rifle in one motion saving time compared to using separate tools for the chamber and the locking lug recesses. The long skinny portion is built with individually tied cotton strands that reach into the chamber and work like a thousand tiny fingers lifting carbon and powder fouling that a standard patch can miss in tight corners. A short large-diameter section follows behind to clean and lubricate the locking lug recesses an area that sees heavy carbon buildup from repeated cycling. This combined cleaning and lubricating action helps keep the bolt cycling smoothly between range sessions. Made from cotton and threaded with a standard 8-32 male fitting this chamber mop attaches easily to any cleaning rod already used for AR-308 maintenance. Measuring approximately 3 inches long it is compact enough to store in a cleaning kit without taking up significant space. Sold as a 3-pack it gives owners enough mops to service multiple rifles or replace a worn mop without needing to reorder right away. This chamber mop is a simple effective tool for anyone maintaining a .308 Win AR-308 pattern rifle.
