Birchwood Casey Bipod Shooting Mat Features The Birchwood Casey Bipod Shooting Mat is constructed from 1000D nylon a heavy-duty material chosen for its resistance to abrasion and tearing under repeated use in the field or at the range. Its primary function is reducing recoil and vibration transfer through the bipod and into the ground which helps keep the rifle steadier shot to shot. On hard surfaces like concrete or packed range dirt the mat provides a stable non-slip base for bipod legs to grip. In soft soil or sand the mat prevents the bipod s feet from sinking in and shifting point of aim between shots. A double Velcro closure secures weighted media inside the mat adding stability and helping the mat stay in place during recoil rather than sliding under the shooter. At 24 by 8 inches the large size gives enough surface area to accommodate a bipod s full stance without the mat shifting out from underneath it. The black finish keeps the mat low profile and easy to pair with most rifle setups. For precision shooters and hunters who want a more consistent stable shooting platform the Birchwood Casey Bipod Shooting Mat is available for sale at GrabAGun.
