Apex Tactical Specialties Thread Protector Features The Apex Tactical Thread Protector fits any standard 1/2 inch by 28 threaded barrel protecting the muzzle threads from dings corrosion and debris whenever a compensator or suppressor is not attached. Machined from stainless steel with a natural finish this thread protector is the same part that ships standard with Apex Grade threaded barrels giving aftermarket buyers access to the identical factory component. A knurled exterior surface gives a firm grasping point for the hands making it easy to tighten or loosen the protector without needing a wrench or special tool. This simple design keeps installation and removal quick whether swapping to a muzzle device for a range session or back to the bare protector for daily carry. An included rubber O-ring provides an additional layer of protection around the muzzle crown a critical surface for accuracy that benefits from being shielded from impacts and debris. That O-ring also helps keep the thread protector from working loose under recoil over repeated firing. Chambered for 9mm pistols this protector works equally well on Apex barrels or any other brand s threaded 1/2x28 barrel making it a versatile addition to a range bag. Beyond pure protection the stainless finish gives a bare threaded muzzle a clean finished look until the shooter is ready to mount a compensator or suppressor.
